2024 was a year of transformation at ECF — a time of deep listening
followed by bold adaptation to prepare us for the challenges and
opportunities ahead. Evolving for impact captures this pivotal moment.
It showcases how we’re embracing change to remain responsive and
deeply rooted in community.
Since our first $1 million granted in
1990, we’ve surpassed $439 million
in cumulative support — powered
by nearly 1,800 funds over 35 years.
That’s the power of collective
giving and long-term community
investment.
The best way to serve the community
is to start by listening. In 2023, we
asked for your input — and you
delivered. You asked us to be bolder
in our purpose and more visible in
the community. We heard you and in
2024, we began taking action.
This past year, we reimagined
our purpose, vision, mission, and
values. The result is more than just
a refreshed brand — it’s a renewed
commitment to clarity, community,
and connection.
We’re also delivering on your
requests for more education and
engagement opportunities. In 2024,
we streamlined our Wills and Estate
Administration Weeks and launched
a recurring Thrive magazine column
featuring expert advice from
professional advisors including Cary
Williams and Marshall McAllister of
North Road Investment Counsel.
These resources support donors in
making informed philanthropic and
legacy decisions.
To support our continued growth and
ensure exceptional experiences for all
our partners, we began strategically
expanding our team. This means
more capacity to serve, connect, and
collaborate — now and in the future.
Our growth this year has been guided
by your input. Thank you for sharing
your voices, your insights, and your
vision. As we look to the future, we’re
excited about the possibilities ahead
and grateful for the community that
continues to build ECF with us.
Together, we truly do thrive.
