From the Executive Director
Welcome to
the Summer Issue
of Alberta Bits
AS WE USHER IN the warmth of summer, we’re
beyond excited to present the completely redesigned
Alberta Bits, your go-to magazine for all things
equestrian in Alberta. We’ve been working behind the
scenes to transform this publication into a vibrant
reflection of our community, and we can’t wait for you
to experience it.
This summer issue is not just about a fresh look,
it’s about giving you more ways to connect, learn
and celebrate the equestrian lifestyle. To bring this
vision to life, we’ve partnered with Odvod Media, a
creative force in Edmonton. Their expertise in design,
storytelling and digital engagement is exactly what
we needed to take Alberta Bits to the next level.
In this issue, you’ll find everything from stunning
photography of Alberta’s beautiful trails to expert
advice on horse care, managing heat and preparing
for wildfire season. There’s something for everyone,
whether you’re a trail rider, a competitor, an arena
enthusiast or just having fun. We’ve also highlighted
some of the exciting new opportunities in our
equestrian community, including the growing
discipline of working equitation.
From an operational perspective, this revamped
magazine is designed with you in mind. It’s an
essential member benefit, packed with relevant,
timely content that makes it easier for you to stay
informed and engaged. We hope it serves as both a
source of inspiration and a practical guide for making
the most of your summer with horses.
Here’s to a summer filled with adventure,
knowledge and the joy of equestrian life!
Enjoy the ride,
Sonia Dantu,
